The Jatiya Party observed a token mass hunger strike in front of the party’s Kakrail office in the capital yesterday to register its protest against the ongoing “violent politics.”
The hunger strike programme began at 11am and ended at 4pm.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, Secretary General Ziauddin Bablu, MP, GM Quader, MP and presidium member Sayed Abul Hossain Babla, MP attended the programme, among others.
A press release, signed by Jatiya Party chairman’s Press and Political Secretary Sunil Shuvo Roy, said the token hunger strike was rescheduled for yesterday instead of Tuesday for unavoidable circumstances.
