Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif yesterday asked BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to immediately stop her siege drama keeping herself willingly under siege.
“Immediately stop your siege drama and killing people in the name of movement. Call off your siege programme. You were prime minister for two terms. If you have minimum obligation to the people of the country, then do not murder people by torching them,” he said, referring to the BNP chief.
Hanif said this while speaking as the chief guest at a human chain programme organised in front of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University at Shahbagh intersection in the city. Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad organised the programme protesting anarchy, terrorism and killing of innocent people by torching them by the goons of BNP-Jamaat combine throughout the country.
Hanif also urged the law enforcement agencies to immediately trace out those terrorists who have been killing people by hurling petrol bombs on transports.
