BNP special secretary and former MP Nadim Mostafa has reportedly been detained by a team of detective police from his Gulshan residence on early Monday.
Nadim is also the president of Rajshahi district unit BNP.
BNP chief Khaleda Zia's media wing official Shamsuddin Didar said DB police picked up the BNP leader from his residence around 4:30am on Monday.
Details regarding the detention were awaited.
