The BNP has thanked its leaders and activists for “successfully enforcing” the nationwide non-stop roads and waterways blockade.
In a press release on Tuesday, BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi thanked his party members and promised reward for their “sacrificing role” during the ongoing “movement.”
According to the press statement, at least two BNP men were killed and 2500 others injured across the country in last 24-hours while staging their protest programmes.
More than 200 leaders and activists of the party were also arrested during the same span of time.
The press note also criticised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Monday's speech, citing that she personally attacked Khaleda Zia by her remarks.
However, the press release did not specify which part of Sheikh Hasina's speech was considered as “personal attack” to BNP chief.
