Attack on BNP leaders’ houses in Dhaka

The residences of two BNP leaders in the capital were under attack late last night, the sixth day of the ongoing nationwide blockade imposed by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Miscreants shot two rounds of rubber bullets at the residence of BNP leader Moin Khan in Gulshan 2 area around 11:15pm. Another group of miscreants hurled four crude bombs at the residence of BNP leader Khandakar Mahbub Hossain in Chamelibagh area around 11:15pm.

No arrests were made and no injuries or casualties were reported in connection with these two incidents when this report was filed.

Yesterday was comparatively peaceful despite the BNP and alliance’s continued blockade throughout the country, except for a few disconnected incidents of vandalism.
