Three cases have been filed against 220 activists of BNP and Jamaat for vandalism of vehicles on Dhaka-Chittagong highway, arson on cargo truck and attacks on police.
Officer-in-Charge Uttam Kumar Chakraborty of Chauddagram police confirmed this to the Dhaka Tribune.
Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman Ibrahim and Assistant Sub-Inspector Delowar Hossain of Chauddagram police filed the three cases separately on Sunday, he said.
Vandalism of vehicles took place on Dhaka-Chittagong highway while arson on cargo truck and attacks on police in front of Chauddagram Falgunkara Primary School, Chauddagram Bazar and Mirshani cattle market on the highway on Saturday night during the blockade.
Three cases accused 120 named and more 100 unnamed BNP, Jamaat activists.
