BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has asked the party leaders and activists to take to the streets to turn the blockade a success.
The BNP spokesperson made the call in a press briefing at a Banani office on Friday afternoon.
He also accused the government of acting like an illegal gun-holder in running the country.
Rizvi said the fall of this government's regime is only a matter of time.
He alleged that the government has left no conspiracy unused to weaken and devastate Khaleda Zia both physically and mentally.
Rizvi also condemned the arrest of the party’s vice-chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhruy and urged the government to immediately release Mobin.
Justifying their indefinite blockade programme, the BNP leader said their programme is for restoring democracy, people’s voting rights and establishing justice.
