Police have arrested nine activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its students’ wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in a special drive in the district during countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance. .
The drive was conducted in the district town from Wednesday evening till Thursday morning, said Satkhira Additional Police Super Mir Modasser Hossain.
He said: “They were accused in several cases including violence.”
The drive would continue to maintain law and order situation in the area, added the police official.
