Three Juba League activists have been injured in attacks by rivals in Madrasha crossing area of Natore.
The injured are Nur Islam Jiban, Emon, and Nahid of Bangozzol area of the town.
Eyewitnesses and sadar police said three local Jubo League activists came under attack, allegedly made by their rivals on Friday night.
The attackers led by Roni, Rana and Suman, also Jubo League activists, of the Jhautalapara of Bangozzol, cut the tendon of the Emon's left hand.
Hearing his scream, locals rushed to the spot. But the attackers left the scene firing bullets and exploding crude bombs.
Locals rushed the injured to Natore sadar hospital immediately.
Meanwhile, the followers of the injured Jubo League men made a counter attack on the rivals in Bongozzol area in the district town on Saturday noon.
As the groups locked in clashes, chase and counter-chase, firing bullets and explosion of crude bombs ensued in the area.
However, no more injury was reported till filing of the report at 7:20pm.
Contacted, Basudev Banik, superintendent of police of Natore and Faridul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, confirmed the matter.
The OC said separate teams of police visited the spots.
However, no complaint was filed in this regard so far, he added.
