A team of police has arrested an upazila level BNP leader from his residence in Mymensingh town on Friday afternoon.
The arrestee Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu, Bhaluka upazila unit president of the BNP, was arrested around 2:00pm, said Bhaluka police station source.
Bhaluka police station Officer-in-Charge Motaleb Hossain said: “Police arrested him in connection with a number of cases filed under explosive act and speedy trial act.”
