Nasim: No JS election before 2019

Update : 25 Dec 2014, 02:15 PM

No parliamentary election will be held in the country before 2019, Health Minister Mohammad Nasim has said.

The Awami League presidium member said this while addressing a meeting as chief guest in Magura Nomani Moidan area in the district town on Thursday.

Nasim said AL believes in holding election as it is the only process to change government.

But, AL never follows the path of terrorism that BNP did to dethrone the government.

Holding last parliamentary election, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had saved democracy, the health minister reiterated.

He claimed that if the government would fail to hold the January 5 election, the country might have been faced the army ruling.

The meeting was organised by Magura district unit AL in observance of the 21st death anniversary of former MP and liberation war organiser Asaduzzaman.
