The court has adjourned the proceeding of graft cases of Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust till BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia appeared before the court on Wednesday at Bakshibazar area in the capital.
Newly appointed judge of special Judge Court 3 Abu Ahmed Jamadar adjourned the court after the defence Lawyer Aminul Islam appealed to the court to postpone the procedure as the former premier is on her way to the court from her Gulshan residence.
The court started at 11:20am and adjourned it around 11:25am on Wednesday.
The court is set to record statements of the witnesses in the corruption cases.
Khaleda Zia left her her Gulshan residence around 11:15am for the court.
The charge framing hearing of the cases have been deferred several times so far, as Khaleda did not turn up to the court on different grounds.
