Making any statement against Tarique Rahaman will be similar to biting in dog's feet, Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif has said.
The Awami League leader also termed BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman as a beast and a lunatic saying anybody would feel hatred to say any word on him, reports BSS.
He made the comment while attending a view-exchange meeting with district Awami League leaders and workers at his residence in Kushtia town on Friday.
Replying questions of reporters on derogatory remarks of Tarique Rahman in London and Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in the country against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the government, Hanif said: "Making any statement against him (Tarique) will be similar to biting in dog's feet". "Mirza Fakhrul, who claims himself as an educated person, has proved that he is a ghost of a Rajakar by supporting the remarks of Tarique only for lust of his party post," he told the reporters. Kushtia District Awami League president Sadar Uddin Khan, general secretary Asgar Ali, Mirpur Upazila Awami League general secretary Kamrul Arefin and other leaders-workers of the party were also present in the meeting.
