BNP Chairperson Khaleda is set to address a public rally in Narayanganj organised by the 20-party alliance.
The BNP chief is scheduled to leave her Gulshan residence for Kanchpur around 2:30pm, Khaleda's media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan said.
Khaleda Zia is likely to announce the alliance's fresh action programme from the rally.
The local unit of the 20-party is arranging the rally protesting the incidents of killing, enforced disappearance, abduction and the government’s repressive acts.
The rally is also meant for drumming up public support in favour of the alliance’s demand for holding polls under a non-party government.
It will be Khaleda’s 10th rally outside the capital after the January 5 election boycotted by the BNP-led opposition alliance.
