Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Mia Ghulam Parwar made the statement at a press conference on Wednesday.
Ghulam said if the local government took immediate action against the person who defamed Masjid al-Haram online, the brutal attack would not have been orchestrated.
“It’s really sad that Hindu temples and homes in Brahmmanbaria, Habiganj and Gopalganj districts have been attacked,” He added.
He said, “No one should take administrative power in his own hands. Everyone should respect the law. The Government should re-establish administrative rules to restore people’s confidence.”
