Update : 13 Nov 2014, 08:43 AM

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has asked the Chhatra League leaders and activists to handover those to police who will carry out criminal activities in the name of student organisation.

The IT adviser of the PM made the statement while exchanging views with leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at the premier’s official residence Ganabhaban on Thursday morning.

"We have to keep all the educational institutions safe. We will not tolerate any criminal activities in campuses," Joy said.

He also hoped that meritorious students would join the BCL.

"We do not need to worry if we are honest," he added.

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of the ruling Awami League, has drawn widespread criticism following its recent attacks and clashes in the educational institutions of the country.
