Three Jubo League activists were injured in two separate attacks in the district on Friday.
Ruhul Amin Shopon was hacked with sharp weapons in his house at College Para moments before Friday midnight while Raju Ahmed Raja and Imran Ali were attacked on the street in the afternoon.
Chuadanga Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Kamruzzaman said miscreants entered Shopon’s residence, hacked him indiscriminately and blasted two crude bombs before fleeing the scene.
Shopon was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital but doctors said he should be taken to Dhaka for treatment, said Kamruzzaman.
“Unidentified miscreants intercepted Raja and Imran who were riding to Farmpara on a motorcycle and hacked them, leaving the two seriously injured. They were taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital,” he said.
“A case will be filed in connection with the attack on Imran and Raju while we have identified who assaulted Shopon. The attackers will be nabbed soon,” he added.
