Police have detained 10 Chhatra Shibir activists at a house at Chawkbazar DC Road area in Chittagong on Thursday.
Police did not disclose the identities of the detainees.
Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali police station, AKM Mohiuddin Selim said two of the 10 were held at Chandanpura area and the rest were detained based on information given by the two.
“The eight were detained on the fourth floor of a four-storey building around 3:30pm. They had some documents related to Shibir with them,” he said.
Of the detainees, two allegedly blasted crude bombs in different parts of the city during the recent general strike enforced by the Jamaat-e-Islami.
“We found some text messages in their mobile phones containing subversion plans,” Selim said.
