Police have recovered the body of a Juba Dal leader at Chandipur village under Bheramara upazila in Kushtia.
The deceased is Kismat Ali, 34, son of late Abdur Shukur of the area and general secretary of Juba Dal's Chadgram union unit.
Bheramara police station Officer-in-Charge Mamun Khan said: “On information, police recovered the body from a garden behind his house around 11:30 on Wednesday.”
He said: “It is being estimated that he might have been suffocated to death as the body has injury marks on his throat.”
The body has been sent to Kushtia general morgue for autopsy, added the official.
