Moncho protests natural death of Ghulam Azam

Update : 25 Oct 2014, 08:03 PM

Protesting the Thursday’s natural demise of war criminal and former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Ghulam Azam, Gonojagoron Moncho opined that independent Bangladesh has failed to ensure due punishment to him for committing heinous atrocities during the bloodiest liberation war of 1971.

“We are depressed at the natural death of an insect of hell like Ghulam Azam as a mass court led by Shaheed Janani Jahanara Imam had earlier sentenced him to death for war crimes during our liberation war,” said Gonojagoron Moncho Spokesperson Imran H Sarker while addressing a press conference at Shahbagh “Projonmo Chattar” in the capital yesterday afternoon.

Imran blamed the government for a delay in the war crimes trials, because of which the natural demise to war crimes convicted Ghulam Azam as well as Abdul Alim appeared.

“How it possible! The government has given permission to hold namaz-e-janaja on the premise of national mosque Baitul Mukarram under police protection, who was mastermind of the 1971 massacre. What is the sign of it?”, Imran continued.

On Friday, Gonojagoron Moncho has inaugurated a photo exhibition titled “Ovishaup Dicche” regarding the heinous crimes of Ghulam Azam during 1971 that it will continue till October 27.
