A Sainik League Leader has been killed in a factional clash between two factions of two groups of the organisation at Awami League office in Bogra on Friday evening.
The deceased is Shimul Rehan, who was a convener of the newly formed convening committee of Sainik League in Bogra.
Bogra police superintended (SP) Md Mozammel Haq told the Dhaka Tribune, a clash erupted when Shimul along with his followers entered the district party office and in the meantime Sabuj, the former convener of the organaisation along with his followers started the attack on them also stabbed Shimul indiscriminately.
Later, the critically injured Shimul was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
After conducting a drive, Sabuj, the mastermind behind the murder and four others were arrested around 8.15pm, the SP said.
