Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif said there is no scope to do politics with the recently hacked minister Abdul Latif Siddique’s remarks that drew much criticism in the country.
“We have given punishment to Latif for his irresponsible statement, which included throwing him away from the cabinet as well as cancelling the party membership, and later an arrest warrant was issued for him as well. In this situation, there is no scope to create anarchy in the country demanding his trial through bringing back him by Interpol from abroad, Hanif said.
He made the remarks during attending a view exchange meeting with the locals leaders in the district.
Drawing attention of BNP, Hanif also stated it is Tarique Rahman, BNP senior vice-chairman, who are accused in many cases and he should have been brought back at home at first by Interpol.
Later, he continued that BNP would not be given any scope for dodging the countrymen with the matter of Latif Siddique.
