Hizb-ut-Tahrir-police clash in capital

The banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir have clashed with police leaving a pedestrian injured at Iqbal road of Mohammadpur area in the Capital on Friday afternoon.

The injured is Md Nafiz,25, is now admitted at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur police station, Azizul Haque said: "Hizb-ut-Tahrir activists were trying to hold demonstration around 2pm at the area."

"They hurled a crude bomb aiming police from their procession and law-enforcers also fired rubber bullets to disperse them," he added.

During the clash, a pedestrian got injured who is now admitted at DMCH, Aziz said.
