Police have detained two Shibir activists for their alleged involvement in the attack on a BCL leader of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
Officer-in-Charge Aktar Hossain of Jalalabad police station said the duo were held from Topobon Khuliapara area on Friday morning.
The detainees are Ziaul Hoque Zia, a fourth year student of the food and tea technology department of the university and Kawser, a second year student of the electrical and electronics engineering department.
OC Aktar Hossain said Zia is a member of Shibir and Kawser is an associate.
Earlier, police detained another Shibir activist Jabed on Wednesday midnight in this connection.
