BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia said the Awami League government has no right to pass any laws as it has assumed the power “illegally.”
She said: “The present Awami league government has not been elected legally. It has no right to pass laws in the parliament as it is an illegal government.”
The BNP chief made the statement while addressing a public rally of the BNP-led 20-party alliance in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.
Criticising the top leaders of the ruling party, Khaleda said: “They are not concerned about the country and its people. They are just sitting in the parliament and are telling lies to the people.”
“The party itself violates the constitution of the country.”
Repeating her claim that the present Awami League government is an illegal one, She said: “The government is illegal and the ruling party members are killing people in order to stay in power illegally.”
“They only want money and power. They do not have any interest in valuing the countrymen.”
