Pointing at Moshiur Rahman Ranga and Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Jatiya Party Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has said they are the agents of BNP-Jamaat and war criminals.
“Those who are war criminals and conspirators have no place in the Jatiya Party,” he said while addressing a rally organised in front of the party’s central office at Kakrail in protest against threat to its chief HM Ershad and Bablu recently.
At the protest rally yesterday, party leaders alleged that Ranga and Tajul were hatching conspiracy against the party activists. They were the agents of BNP and war criminals and wanted to destroy the party, the leaders said.
HM Ershad was all in all in the party, they said, adding that Ranga and Tajul were worthless without Ershad.
Bablu said Ranga and Tajul wanted to destroy the Jatiya Party, but they had no ability to do so. “As they are not carrying out the party chief’s orders, they do not belong to our party.”
At a press briefing on Thursday, Bablu said he came to know that Tajul was a war criminal and he got involved in the politics of several other parties, including BNP. “Ershad will take action against him.”
On September 10, JaPa chief HM Ershad relieved Ranga and Tajul, presidium members of the party, of their posts.
Ershad took the action using his power given by Section 39 of the party constitution, said a statement signed by his Press and Political Secretary Shunil Shuvo Roy.
However, the press statement did not mention any reason for the termination.
