A Dhaka court has framed charges against 41 BNP members, including Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Mirza Abbas in a case filed under speedy trial act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Tarek Moiunul Islam passed the order rejecting the discharge petitions of the BNP leaders on Tuesday morning.
The court also fixed October 12 for the witness deposition.
BNP Standing Committee Members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Barkatullah Bulu and Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie, among the others, were present in the court.
On March 11 last year, a case was filed against the 41 BNP leaders and activists with Paltan police station for hindering police duty, vandalism and arson acts.
