BNP leaders have to win their fear before they stage anti-government agitations, said Communication Minister Obaidul Quader.
Bashing BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Quader said she announced to organise movement against the government this month but her party leaders were too scared to come out of their rooms.
“To stage agitations, they [BNP leaders] have to win their fear first. Otherwise, they will just be sitting idle in their rooms,” the minister said while addressing a meeting at Singra court field yesterday.
“The BNP has to refrain from destructive politics if its leaders want to include the general people in their movement,” he said.
Commenting on the broadcast policy, Quader said the government would scrutinise it if any inconsistency arises following its implementation.
Earlier in the day, the minister inaugurated the extension of the upazila administration built at a cost of Tk4.5 crore.
