BNP leader Mujibur interrogated at hospital

A team of police has interrogated the UK chapter BNP adviser Mujibur Rahman at the capital’s United Hospital on Tuesday.

The coordinator of the case and Sunamganj Additional Police Super Hemayetul Isalm said: “Our team reached Dhaka at around 8am. We are interrogating now Mujibur Rahman."

He said police were yet to find any important information regarding his abduction.

The ASP said Mujibur might be taken back be Sunamganj on Wednesday.

Mujibur Rahman was rescued alive with his driver from Tongi area in Gazipur on Monday evening, three and half months after his disappearance.

He was later admitted to United Hospital at Gulshan in the capital under police escort for treatment, Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Harunur Rashid told the Dhaka Tribune.

Earlier, UK citizen Mujibur and his driver went missing on May 4 on their way back to Sylhet from Sunamganj after taking part in a mass hunger strike programme.
