Update : 18 Aug 2014, 02:20 PM

The government is not thinking about the threat of movement by BNP-led 20-party alliance as the people are not with them, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has said.

He said AL believes in the politics of development, but not bowing down to any threats of movement.

Nasim made this comment on Monday while unveiling the foundation stone of 200-bed 'child-hospital' at the cost of Tk20 crore at Amanatganj area adjacent to 'Tuberculosis Hospital' in Barisal city.

Nasim, also the ruling Awami League presidium member, said we known about the strength and politics of BNP-led 20-party alliance very well.

He also said they will have to pay for their mistake that they had done by boycotting the January 5 election.

Meanwhile, the health minister also told the journalists that the government was preparing a policy to monitor the management of private hospitals and health service providers.

Answering about the broadcasting policy, the central leader of the ruling AL claimed the broadcasting policy was declared to save 'honest' journalists, not for the 'dishonest' journalists.
