Khaleda: Govt is plotting to ruin education system

Update : 22 Jun 2014, 11:13 AM

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said the Awami League government is plotting a conspiracy in order to ruin the education system of the country.

Claiming that Awami League does not want the future generations to be educated, she said: “The ruling party men are trying to destroy the education system by leaking question papers. They do not want the future generation to be educated and are trying to make the country intellectually crippled.”

The BNP chief made the allegations while addressing a mass rally in Joypurhat on Sunday afternoon.

She said: “The ruling party chief claims that she is responsible for the success of woman empowerment. But it is the BNP which empowered the women by ensuring a better educational environment for them.”

“We introduced a number of measures to increase the number of female students during our regime. We provided education that was free of cost for women till class 12. The BNP government also allocated free rice and wheat for the female students.”
