The BNP will start their long-march programme towards the Teesta Barrage on April 22 to press home their demand for proper share of water from neighbour India.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement in a press conference held at the party’s central office in the capital’s Nayapaltan area on Wednesday morning.
The party will start the long-march around 8am from Dhaka on April 22 and hold a rally in Rongpur around 4pm on the same day.
Later, the party will commence the long-march around 9am on April 23.
