Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan Monday said eliminating militancy and communalism should beour New Year resolution this time so that we can keep Bangladesh's reputation as a country of communal harmony.
"People regardless of their race, creed or colour should stand united against those who want to spread the poison of communalism in this country," the minister said.
He came up with the observations while addressing a discussion at Basabo Rajarbagh here on the occasion of Bangla New Year organised by Rajarbagh Janakalyan Samiti.
Presided over by Chitta Ranjan Das, the discussion was addressed by Shah Anisur Rahman, Golam Jilani and Giasuddin Patwary, among others.
