Leader of the Opposition Rawshan Ershad, Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia have greeted the Bangalees in the country and abroad on the occasion of “Pahela Baishakh.”

In a message on the eve of the Bengali New Year 1421, Rawshan urged all to work relentlessly for making the New Year successful by shunning jealousy-enmity.

She said the New Year will be the new path of understating and development, not crisis.

Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad greeted the nation and said: “We want to make the New Year memorable through saving the derailed nation and the country.”

He said it is necessary to build society free from terrorism, eradicate jealousy and ensure economic emancipation, peace and prosperity of the country.

In another message, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia also greeted the countrymen and hoped that the New Year will bring peace, prosperity and welfare of the people.

She said: "The Bangla New Year and date is the part of our daily life and it is the undivided part of our national culture.”
