Nasim for legal action against Tarique

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim has urged the authority concern to take legal action against BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman for his comment claiming “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was an illegal prime minister of Bangladesh.”

The minister made the call while speaking at the first session of the 10th parliament on Thursday afternoon.

 He said: “Tarique’s comment is another move to distort the history of our independence.”

Terming Tarique’s remarks on Bangabandhu as sedition, Nasim said: “Legal action should be taken against those who make derogatory comments on the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”

He said the Awami League would never compromise with the political force that collaborated with the Pakistan army to perpetrate the killing, rape and loot during the 1971 Liberation War.

He further said stern action should be taken against any thing that goes against the constitution.

In the session, AL leader Suranjit Sengupta said Tarique’s  comment has deemed a part of a serious of conspiracies suspecting Pakistan-based Intelligence ISI’s role behind this conspiracy.
