A Jubo League leader has been chopped by a gang of some unidentified miscreants in the town of Jhenaidah on Tuesday morning.
The Injured was identified as Kazi Enamul Haque Milon, secretary for sports and youth affairs of the district Jubo League unit.
Jhenaidah police station Officer-in-Charge Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury said: “A gang of miscreants numbering five to six entered Milon’s business centre on Hossain Shahid Sahrawardi road around 8:30am and chopped him, leaving him critically injured.”
Later, the locals sent Milon to Jhenaidah General Hospital.
District Awami League Secretary Advocate Azizur Rahman said: “Previous enmity was the main reason behind the attack.”
Condemning the attack, Azizur demanded punishment of the attackers.
