A Dhaka court has rejected the bail pleas filed by BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in two murder cases and sent him back to jail.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim has passed the order on Thursday afternoon.
However, the court granted him bail in one murder case. The BNP leader got the bail in constable Ferdous Khalil murder case lodged with the Ramna police station.
Earlier in the day, defence lawyer Sanaullah Miah filed bail petitions for the BNP leader in two murder cases filed with Ramna police station and another murder case filed with Shahbagh police station.
On January 20, the High Court granted eight weeks anticipatory bail to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in the three murder cases.
