'Bangladesh rich country by 2041'

Bangladesh will be one of the richest countries in the world by 2041 with its new-earned sea resources, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu has hoped.

The minister praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for “realising a victory” in settlement of the sea boundary at a programme held in the capital on Thursday.

“Her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman offered the Bangali nation a free land. The victory in the seas was just another gift from his daughter.”

“Whatever has been gained since the Pakistan era, everything has been because of the Awami League,” the minister claimed, a Ministry of Information handout said.

Amu was speaking at a programme highlighting the importance of the use of technology thoroughfare for a digital Bangladesh marking the 43rd Independence Day.

He urged all to unite under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to maintain the development earned in the several sectors of the country.
