A local leader of Awami Krishak League of Fatehpur union unit has been stabbed to death by miscreants in Fatehpur rail crossing area of Hathajari.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Wasim, 35, general secretary of Fatehpur union unit Krishak League.
Hathajari police station Officer-in-Charge Md Ismail said: “Some unidentified miscreants stabbed him to death when he was returning home around 12:30am”
Wasim died on the way to the hospital, he said.
The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College morgue for autopsy.
