A “rebel” candidate of the BNP has boycotted the election in Lalmohon upazila in Bhola after allegedly being barred from entering polling centres.
Chairman candidate Aktaruzzaman declared to boycott the poll in a press conference held at his residence in the Lalmohan municipality area around 10:30am.
He alleged that his supporters were being barred to enter the polling centres to cast their votes.
Meanwhile, he also alleged that the authorities did not take any steps regarding the matter despite of being informed.
