BNP will be demonstrating at the Thana levels of the capital on Tuesday protesting the denial of permission to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan.
The Suhrawardy Udyan rally, which was postponed twice, was finally queued for Tuesday, Dhaka city BNP Member Secretary Abdus Salam said.
“But authorities did not give us permission. Therefore, we will organise protest rallies at all the Thanas in the capital on Tuesday,” he said.
The programme of the 19-party alliance, with the recent inclusion of Kazi Zafar Ahmed's Jatiya Party, was deferred twice for Biswa Ijtema.
BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the rally on January 29.
