A municipality chief of BNP was arrested in Gazipur on Tuesday evening over several cases including an explosion lawsuit, police said.
Sreepur upazila municipality BNP President Kazi Khan, 45, was detained from Gazipur city's Rail Gate area around 5pm, police said.
Sreepur model police station Officer-in-Charge Amir Hossain said Khan had several cases against him including that for an explosion on December 12.
