Jatiya Party Office Secretary Tajul Islam Chowdhury has been made the opposition chief whip in the parliament.
The decision was made during the parliamentary committee meeting of the Jatiya Party on Tuesday afternoon.
“The parliamentary committee has decided to make Tajul Islam the opposition chief whip,” Jatiya Party Presidium Member Kazi Firoz Rashid told reporters after the meeting.
The Awami League won the 10th national election which was held on January 5.
However, the election was held without the participation of the BNP.
