Chairman of Jatiya Party's latest faction Kazi Zafar Ahmed has urged all to be united in the time of nation's crisis moment.
He made the statement after joining the 18-party alliance through giving flowers to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office on Saturday evening.
He said: “We had to keep out lives at stake to save Jatiya Party from Ershad’s oscillation and bluff.
We [Zafar’s Jatiya Party] will remain beside BNP chief Khaleda Zia.”
Ershad expelled had Kazi Zafar from the party over differing opinions on the JP’s involvement with the January 5 polls.
However Zafar, later in a statement, expelled Ershad from the party and announced a special council that made him chairman and Golam Mosih secretary general.
