Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina distributed portfolios among ministers, state ministers and deputy ministers of the new cabinet with home and foreign ministries undeclared.
The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification, distributing the portfolios immediately after the cabinet members were sworn into office yesterday.
Hasina took the responsibilities of the Cabinet Division, public administration ministry, defence ministry, and the Armed Forces Division. A gazette notification signed by Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan was issued yesterday in this regard.
According to the rules of business, the ministries or divisions which were not placed under any minister or state minister would go to the prime minister.
