Jatiya Party Presidium Member Rawshan Ershad has been named the Leader of the Opposition in the parliament.
The Parliament Secretariat published a gazette notification confirming Rawshan Ershad as the Leader of the Opposition in the 10th parliament.
The gazette was published on Saturday, speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury told the Dhaka Tribune.
Meanwhile, JaPa Chairman HM Ershad was sworn in as Member of the parliament on Saturday morning.
JaPa secured 13 constituencies in the 10th parliamentary elections held on January 5.
A total of 283 MPs, who were elected on the 10th, took oath on Thursday morning. The new cabinet would be sworn in on Sunday.
