The activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its students’ front Islami Chhatra Shibir blasted eight crude bombs and vandalized 4 vehicles in One Kilomitre area under Chandgaon police station in the port city on Saturday morning.
Chatgaon police station Officer-in-Charge Md Abdur Rouf told the Dhaka Tribune that Jamaat-Shibir men brought out a flash procession in the area at 9am. On information, police rushed to the spot and interrupted the procession. During the time, they fled the scene exploding eight crude bombs and vandalising four more vehicles.
Nobody was reported injured in the incident.
Police, however, did not arrest anyone.
