Jatiya Party Senior Presidium Member Rowshan Ershad is set to hold a press conference at the party office in the National Parliament Building on Wednesday afternoon.
According to party sources, Rowshan, the wife of the party Chief HM Ershad, will inform the nation about the latest political position of her party.
Jatiya Party Presidium Member Kazi Firoze Rashid, also a newly elected lawmaker, said: “Rowshan will address the press meet around 4pm.”
Earlier on Tuesday, the media was informed that she would brief the press at her Gulshan residence. Later, the press was invited to cover the briefing at the National Parliament Building.
Earlier on January 7, Kazi Firoze Rashid said Rowshan Ershad would be the next Leader of the Opposition in Parliament.
The party, however, has not yet made any specific announcement. Jatiya Party won 13 seats in the 10th general elections on Sunday. It had earlier won 20 seats in the polls, giving them a total of 33 seats.
