At least six individuals were injured during a post-polls clash at Kalikapur village in Jhenaidah municipal area on Monday afternoon.
The injured were rushed to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital.
Jhenaidah police station sub-inspector Ziaraul Islam said, some 10 to 12 supporters of winning independent candidates were returning home from the town at about 3:15 PM.
A gang of miscreants charged in and stabbed them.
Police officers assumed they were the supporters of the losing candidate, who got the nomination from the Awami League.
A case was filed with Jhenaidah police station in connection to this, he added.
