Awami League leaders and activists brought out a procession with sticks in front of the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Monday morning.
They chanted slogans protesting the opposition’s Dhaka March programme. Later, they formed a human chain in the area.
Environment Minister M Hasan Mahmud, Dhaka city unit Awami League General Secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya and Central Committee member Habibur Rahman Siraj, among others, were present in the programmes.
Meanwhile, leaders and activists of Awami League’s front organisations were also present at the spot.
